Adults who misuse drugs may need treatment and help. Often, whole families suffer a range of problems because of the drug misuse of a family member.
The Bradford District Safer Communities Partnership brings together a number of services offering different types of free and confidential treatment including:
- Physical health advice
- Counselling and support
- Complementary therapies
- Prescribing of substitute medication
- Housing support
- Day programmes
- Access to training and employmen
Young people under 19 can get help from specialist services.
A range of health centres, hospitals and specialist projects are delivering good quality treatment to those who need it.
The Partnership and local organisations are working to inform and support communities in tackling issues of drug misuse, and to protect communities from drug-related anti-social behaviour.
Availability of drugs
Working closely with local communities and other orgaisations, the police are working to reduce the availability of drugs on our streets.
There are a number of initiatives in the Bradford District to address the treatment and support needs of drug users in the criminal justice system.
